PLEASE READ: This review was originally written in 2013 on my Dutch blog. I have translated this blog post, and also altered some of the information in this review since a lot of things changed since 2013. Even though I try to create a good blog post for you, please note that there can be some information that’s outdated or different nowadays. It’s also a strong possibility that the appearances of the products have changed since then.

My all time favorite body lotion by Lush? Celebrate! This limited edition product keeps making its way back into the Christmas range. Which isn’t odd, since it’s amaaazing. Today I’ll tell you all about this festive body lotion!

Celebrate is available in a 225 gram pot, but sometimes they’ll have small 45 gram pots in gift sets. It’s not the cheapest body lotion, but believe me: when you’ll smell it, you’re sold! If you like the scent, but you’re not fond of body lotions, try Lush First Snow Sparkling Dusting Powder! It has the exact same scent as Celebrate. There’s also a jelly with this festive scent (Snowshowers), which is discontinued unfortunately. Then you have Golden Wonder sharing the same scent, which has been in the Christmas range for years now.

Celebrate consists of almond oil, cocoa butter, Brazilian orange oil, lime oil and orange flower absolute. The texture of the body lotion is between a lotion and a butter–it’s firm, creamy and rich, not very liquid. The rich and luxurious substance is easy to massage onto the skin. The body lotion is almost fully absorbed after a few minutes, but it will leave a slight residue for another half hour. Personally I’m not bothered by this, but I can understand it’s not something you’d want. Tip: sprinkle some First Snow dusting powder on it! The talc will absorb the leftover residue and make the skin mat and dry, without losing the amazing scent.

The scent is delicious, like I told you twelve times already. A fresh orange and lime scent, but with a warm background. Zesty with a hint of cognac. An unique combination that works amazingly well! My skin feels incredibly soft, is glowy due to the all the butters and oils and it feels firm and hydrated. Dry legs will thank you into eternity. Rough, dry winter hands will also appreciate this body lotion very well!

Addition 2024: unfortunately, the body lotion isn’t for sale at the moment. It’s a Christmas range limited edition. They haven’t released this body lotion in the past few years (but instead they keep selling Once Upon a Time body lotion, GROSS!) so I really hope it will make a comeback 🤞🏻
