A hair conditioner and a hair perfume, all in one. But, in Lush style: deliciously smelling of vanilla milkshakes, and packed with natural ingredients. This is one of my favorite products by Lush. They have multiple hair conditioners, of which I knew I liked at least of them (Happy Happy Joy Joy) but ordering American Cream was a pure guess for me. I trusted Lush enough to like the scent.. and when it arrived, I couldn’t be happier. The scent was amazing–a sweet mix of strawberries, milkshakes and over expensive hairsalon products. And how do I like the effects of this conditioner? That you’ll read it this review.

“A strawberry-loving, milkshake-scented cheerleader for silky Hollywood hair. American Cream’s an addictive blend of relaxing clary sage and calming lavender oils, softening honey, and a mouth-watering vanilla perfume is a cherry on top of the cake. Fresh strawberries and oranges encourage the hair cuticles to lie flat and reflect light for a seriously gorgeous gloss. Warning: has been known to bring boys to the yard.”

Because I wasn’t sure about wether I’d like the scent, I ordered a medium bottle. It’s a hair conditioner, of which the scent lingers in your hair for hours. Even when I’m walking outside and a gust of wind passes, I can smell the delicious scent… But enough about the scent!

Ingredients
Water (Aqua), Vanilla Pod Infusion, Propylene Glycol, Whole Fresh Orange, Cetearyl Alcohol & Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Strawberries, Perfume, Cetearyl Alcohol, Honey, Cupuaçu Butter, Vanilla Absolute, Clary Sage Oil, Lavender Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Cetrimonium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Coumarin, *Linalool

In the shower I put some American Cream in my hair (focusing on the ends of my hair), then I let it sit for a few minutes and whenever I’m ready drooling over the scent, I rinse it out. I can already feel how soft my hair is! After blowdrying my hair, it’s easier to comb through (and believe me, my hair is tough) and it’s more silky and shiny. It doesn’t weigh down my hair like a lot of conditioners do. My hair is exactly like Lush said; shiny and probably brings boys to the yard as well.

I also use a little bit of American Cream for my dry and split ends. My hair ends always have been dramatic, so sometimes I put a little dot of American Cream on it, go to bed and when I wake up, they’re soft and smooth, as well as hydrated.

I had to get used to some Lush scents, but this one was a direct hit! I keep smelling my hair. I love how it keeps smelling lovely, even after I’m long out of the shower. Truly a miracle product, and when this bottle is finished, I’m definitely buying the biggest bottle.

One Response to Review: Lush American Cream Hair Conditioner

  • Ik hou ervan als je je haar na het wassen nog lang blijft ruiken dat lekker ruikt. Helaas is dat met veel producten niet, maar hier ben ik benieuwd naar! 😀
