shower jelly

Silver bells, silver bells, silver all the way! When I smelled Silver Bells in the store, I immediately fell in love. Finally a completely other scent than the regular Christmas jellies, like Butterbear and Santa’s Belly. Together with Drummers Drumming I tossed it into my shopping basket, and today you’ll read everything about it!

Yaaaas, there’s new shower jellies in the Christmas range! Finally. I love jellies, so I could barely contain myself. I was very curious about the two new jellies, one of which i’ll be reviewing today. It’s a bright, sunny jelly — perfect if you need a little bit of cheering up during these cold days. I’m going to give it a try, so.. if you’re curious about this product, make sure you keep on reading!

Initially, I didn’t intend to buy this shower jelly, seeing as I already have a LOT. But when I saw photos of this gorgeous jelly, I couldn’t help it. Who needs a spine, anyway? I ordered this jelly and upon arrival, I couldn’t be more in love. It’s so gorgeous, I must’ve taken about 100 photos of it! Today I’m going to show you this gem.

When I was in Liverpool, I already spotted this jelly from far away. There was a huge text above the jelly: PARTY EXCLUSIVE. Aka, not for sale. You have to book a party there in order to get one. Pfft. I was very disappointed, especially after I smelled it. A wonderful scent that smelled very familiar to me.. after a quick check, Crash appears to be sharing its scent with Celebrate. Perhaps better known as Buck’s Fizz, Bubbly or Golden Wonder — one of my favorite scents of Lush. So I could barely contain my excitement when I saw the Party Exclusives for sale in the UK webshop, and immediately bought some. Unfortunately it’s no longer for sale, but since Lush is full of surprises, I decided to just review it anyway.

After having reviewed Bongo and Conga, there was one jelly from Liverpool left to be reviewed. No, not Rumba. Rumba shares its scent with So White, which I hate. There’s also Gong, this one shares its scent with Golden Pear, but I already have the Golden Pear shower jelly, so I didn’t take Gong with me home. No, it’s Beats, the prettiest jelly from the Liverpool jellies range. I’ve used Beats for a few weeks now and in the meantime I have bought another 240 gram, so that already reveals how much I like it.

I’ve always been a fan of the jellies. They have a pretty strong scent, are fun to poke in and since I’ve found a way to use them in the shower, without constantly dropping them, I use them a lot. In Liverpool I decided to take all four new jellies with them, except for Rumba. Rumba shares its scent with So White (green apples), which I’ve always find repelling. But thank God for Bongo, because this scent is literally a tropical holiday shaped like a jelly. And that’s exactly what I needed.

Lush has been on a roll lately. They’re launching like, sixteen hundred products all at once, including a few new jellies. (Europe and UK only though) I was determined NOT to buy any of the new jellies. I mean, I needed to save my money for those 54 new bath bombs as well. I really need a second mortgage in the mean time to pay for all those new products.
So, no more jellies, I said. And as you can, that plan failed. What a surprise. I DID only buy 3 though! One of them is 29 High St., which smells like a Lush store. Yep, you read that right. From now on, in addition to already buying half the store’s contents, you can also take home the scent.

If there’s anything I love to do, it’s making products myself. I have made some scrubs in the past, which I loved using! It’s been awhile since I’ve created something, so I decided to share my recipe on how to create your own shower gel.. using a shower jelly. It’s great for people (like me) who own a lot of Lush jellies, but never actually use them. If you’re curious about how to do this (and it’s very simple!), then keep reading on!

I’m in love with the shower jellies from Lush. They’re fun to use, have a strong scent and they make your skin silky soft. But through the years, I found that there are more ways of using a shower jelly. And since I know that some people are struggling with using these wobbly blobs, I will show you different says of using a jelly in this blog post.
I’m also curious about how you use a jelly, so let me know in the comments section!

Somehow I am hooked to the shower jellies from Lush, while I never actually use them. Therefore, I promised myself not to buy any more jellies, but when I saw this one with a 50% discount, I just had to have it. The scent wasn’t unfamiliar — I’ve had the bath bomb often. I decided to just give it a go. If you’re curious about how I like it, keep on reading.
